Terrible experience. I bought a brand new car at this dealership in early August. After owning the car for over 40 days and even making my first payment to the financial institution that financed the car, I was called and texted by someone from the dealership last week and telling me that the car that they gave me was not the car that I purchased, and that it was the wrong car and they wanted me to verify the VIN number. At the time I was out of the state and couldn't verify it that day. I had to wait 5 days in anguish not knowing what the repercussions of having a car that I didn't own sitting on my property until I returned home. How can they possibly give me the wrong car and not notice for a month and a half? Today I had to go back to dealership to get the car that they say they sold me, only to find out that doesn't have the features that I specifically told the salesman when I test drove the car that it needed to have, and that I had purchase, negotiated and financed. After 4 hours of sitting at the dealership, they took the rims and tires off the car that I had been driving because I refused to pay more for the car that I had purchased. How can they think that I should be the one paying for their mistake and for the inconvenience and stress that this caused me? On top of that, I had to miss work to get this resolved and they made me pay for the transfer of the registration for the car, which is absolutely reprehensible since they were the ones that made the mistake. At this point, I'm so upset with the dealership and Chevy for allowing this kind of irresponsible and disorganized people to run a dealership that I'll be taken action against the dealership and the brand. The financial and safety risk that they put my family and I without my knowledge is unreal. I can't help to wonder, what would have happen if I had been stopped by the police and the car that I was driving didn't match my registration and insurance information, worse, what if I had gotten into an accident? whom would have been responsible for the damages? in addition to the stress that this whole ordeal has put me through is completely unacceptable. I will be reporting this "bait and switch scam" to the state of Florida as it violates the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act as well as I will be taken this over to the Media in addition to consulting with my attorney for potential legal action.
